The Cisco 7507 Router is a multiprotocol, high performance platform with enhanced
High Availability (HA) features. It combines proven Cisco software technology with
exceptional reliability, serviceability, availability and performance features to
meet the requirements of today's most mission-critical internetworks. It provides
service-provider and enterprise networks with the flexibility they need to meet
the constantly changing requirements at the edge of the network.
It has seven slots: five interface processor slots and two slots for the Route Switch
Processor. There are bays for up to two AC-input or DC-input power supplies, which
allows for load sharing and increased system availability.

It has thirteen slots: Eleven interface processor slots and two slots for the Route
Switch Processor. There are bays for up to two AC-input or DC-input power supplies,
which allows for load sharing and increased system availability.
